OKL Coaches
Many programmes designed for youth and children mainly depend upon school personnel to implement these initiatives without assistance from the larger community. This programme is designed to allow non-school-based children’s organizations and groups, parents, other adult family members and the wider community, the opportunity to participate as coaches. High achievement in children is evidenced by nurturing from parents or caregivers. Therefore, parents and caregivers also take the role as coaches in motivating and monitoring participants. Following is a list of suggestions of individual who may become OK Lead Coaches.
- Parents/care-givers
- Other family members
- Classroom teachers (grades 4 -6)
- Children’s church class instructors
- Children-’s club/community group leaders
